| On 24 September, 2008, during my second deployment to Afghanistan my humvee was attacked by and IED. I was fortunate to escape with my life, however not all of the men and women I have served with have been so lucky. That is why I am racing in the Marine Corps 10K for No Greater Sacrifice - to honor the men and women we have lost in battle and to help their families realize the dream of a college education.
