I'm Laura, wife of an Army Lieutenant. My husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan. I ran the 2009 Army Ten-Miler and will be running the Marine Corps Marathon 10K this Sunday in support of him and his men, but realized I could do much, much more.

I joined the No Greater Sacrifice Endurance team to raise money and support for the families of fallen heroes. This year, the NGS Endurance Team is running to support the education of four children: Zach (age 8), Levi (6), Sam (5) and Hannah (3).

Their father, Staff Sergeant William S. Jackson II, passed away after an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle in Ramadi, Iraq, on November 11, 2006 while on a mission supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
