UMB Bank welcomes associates, friends and family members to participate in "Multiple Summits for MS." We will take on Gray's Peak on the morning of Saturday August 14th, 2010. Start time is from 6:00-7:00. If you feel the urge, go knock off Torrey's as well.

This program helps support the Rocky Mountain MS Center. The Center's Mission Statement is to improve the lives of people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and their families through care, support, education and research.

MS is most commonly diagnosed in young adults. Eighty percent of MS patients develop MS between the ages of 16 and 45. Women are more frequently diagnosed with MS by at least 2 to 1. MS is the leading cause of disability in young women and the second leading cause of disability in young men. In Colorado, we estimate that one in 580 people have MS.

"Multiple Summits for MS" is fun and active way to take advantage of Colorado's amazing landscape and at the same time, help support a cause that touches so many. Your participation does make a difference!

Don't miss the Multiple Summits for MS kick-off event at REI Downtown Denver on July 14th at 6pm. Here you can see all the other teams participating and meet Wendy Booker, an accomplished climber who lives with MS. The Colorado Mountain Club will provide gear guides and info for first timers as well. We will throw a party in September to celebrate all the Mountain Summits for MS. Registration is only $14.00, but we encourage you to donate at least $53.00 or more. This includes a "Multiple Summits for MS" tee shirt.

So, gear up and help support MS! Anyone is welcome to register! If you cannot make it, please consider a donation of any amount to the Rocky Mountain MS Center.
