Join Team KADEP!

Multiple Summits for Multiple Sclerosis is a program of Chasing Dreams for MS. This August, summit a peak for MS while raising much- needed funds for the Rocky Mountain MS Center. Do it by joining our team as we raise money for the Rocky Mountain MS Center and KADEP!

In the state of Colorado, 1 in 540 people have MS- a neurological disease that can result in severe disability. We need your help so we can raise funds to support those living with MS.

One of the Rocky Mountain MS Center's many support programs is the King Adult Day Enrichment Program. KADEP is a unique program for adults with multiple sclerosis and other neurological illnesses. KADEP is a program designed to improve quality of life by maintaining or improving functional status, enhancing wellness, providing opportunities for socialization, personal development, and enjoyment. Each participant has an opportunity to explore and enjoy a wide variety of therapeutic, recreational, and social activities, designed to address each individuals' needs and interests.

Each individual chooses from activities including: hydroptherapy, outdoor sports, yoga, poetry, crafts, cooking, computer basics, gardening, nintendo wii, discussion groups, and adaptive camping trips just to name a few.

The KADEP team plans to climb Mt. Bierstadt on Saturday August 7, 2010. Feel free to join our team and climb other peaks on your own too!

Join us at the REI Flagship Store in Denver, CO on July 14, 2010 from 6-8 pm. Dream Chasers from all the teams will be there for the Multiple Summits Kick off Event! You can register here and get your T-shirt. The event will also feature well-known and accomplished climber, Wendy Booker, who lives with MS. Members of the Colorado Mountain Club will also provide gear guides and information for first time climbers.
