Thank You for your generous support and good wishes for my 1st Half-Marathon on Saturday, October 10th (the ING Hartford Half-Marathon) to raise funds for Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue!

With your wonderful support, we raised over $1,200! You have helped me to save the lives of several Goldens and to provide them with the medical care they need.

My 2 Goldens, Sophie and Charm, bring so much joy into my life each day. I adopted Charm from SGRR last year and couldn't imagine what might have happened to her if not for SGRR.

SGRR rescues hundreds of displaced Golden Retrievers in need of homes and medical attention. These Golden Retrievers have been abandoned, abused or given up by their owners. Most of the dogs are rescued from kill shelters in the South. There are THOUSANDS of wonderful Goldens being put down every day in Southern shelters due to lack of education about dog ownership; overpopulation; and general neglect.  SGRR is a network of volunteers dedicated to finding the best possible homes for these dogs in need who would otherwise be ignored or destroyed.
