GMYS is a sustainable, athlete-based shoe donation program run through Project Active and coordinated domestically and internationally with affiliated shoe donation organizations and trusted international aid organizations.

Domestically, GMYS provides a means for high school, college and participatory athletes to give back to their sport through the donation and shipment of their gently worn shoes. Internationally, GMYS partners with proven ethical organizations that can safely, securely and inexpensively deliver shoes to war-zones and post-conflict areas."

Our goal is collect money to offset the shipping costs of the shoes we collect. Basically, it costs about a dollar a pair to get them there.

Our initial shipment will be roughly 5,000 pairs to India. This is already fully funded. We plan to ship similar amounts to Eritrea, Afghanistan, and if logistically possible, Zimbabwe.
