| Dear Family and Friends,
Since the Yankees are not in the playoffs this fall, I have decided to turn off my HDTV and train to walk in the ING half marathon in Miami in January, 2009. I am walking on behalf of the 1.4 million Americans who suffer from Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Foremost of all I am walking on behalf of my personal hero, my daughter Melissa. Currently, Melissa is having an extremely rough time with her Crohn's Disease. Like she does everyday, I will push myself over the 13.1 mile course to cross the finish line. I am, however, asking for your support in raising critically needed research funds to help find a cure and improve the quality of life for those IBD sufferers like Melissa.
