Seeds for Salvation, Inc. (SFS) is non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that supports Christian ministries all around the world. From now until June 2008, SFS has chosen to focus on raising funds for the following 2 projects (ministries).
Project #1: Adult Literacy Program
According to Time magazine, 37% of Vietnam’s population is illiterate. A devoted Pastor in Vietnam has created a program to not only combat this alarming statistic but use this opportunity to teach the bread of life - the Word of God. The curriculum being used is a proven one; 170 countries who has used it and Vietnam is the 171st country. The material is a set of 2 books, teaching people to read and write independently while discipling them into mature Christians. Right now, the Pastor is training 70 volunteer teachers who are committed to teach 1-2 people each. In order to bless 500 people all over Vietnam with this literacy program, $2185 must be raised to cover transportation, books, pencils and food. How would you like to support this ministry?
Project #2: Orphans with HIV
In efforts to reach 106 children with HIV and their families (grandparents and relatives), a minister and a few missionaries have committed to visit 2 government-owned orphanages, 6 times a year. Upon visitations, ministers first meet the children’s immediate nutritional needs by providing milk (the government does not provide enough, milk is their ticket in to the orphanage), then their eternal need, salvation. So far, 10 families have received Christ and around 100 orphans are given just enough milk to keep them healthy. In order to continue this ministry, $3000 of financial support must be raised. How would you like to support this ministry?
