Once again I am participating in the Rock and Roll Half Marathon in Las Vegas on December 4th to help benefit The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. I’ve pledged to raise $3600 to help fund research and find a cure for these two terrible diseases!!

At this time two years ago Crohn's Disease had me flat on my back in bed not knowing if I was going to pull through. It was emergency surgery in January of last year that gave me a new lease on life. Although this surgery alleviated the majority of my symptoms, I am not cured. There is no cure for Crohn's Disease. YET!!

Last year I raised $3,600 and participated in the Team Challenge fund raiser and Rock and Roll Half marathon to celebrate surviving. This year I realized I need to do this for all of the 1.4 million people that suffer from Crohn's Disease and Colitis.

There are so many fund raisers and months dedicated to finding a cure for diseases, but what is there for people with Crohn's Disease and Colitis. There's me and there's you. What I CAN and WILL do is help make a difference for ALL people who suffer from these diseases. Will you please help me?

Most people suffer in silence as this is not a disease that is discussed openly, but behind closed doors. People of all ages experience pain, anxiety, stress and depression. Chances are you have a co-worker, close friend or family member who is also struggling with Crohn’s or Colitis.
