Fighting Sudden Blindness Caused by LHON
LHON is a rare genetic disorder that causes sudden blindness, generally around age 20. There is no treatment and no cure for LHON.

Because only about 100 people in the U.S. become blind each year due to LHON, funding for a cure is extremely limited so your donation makes a significant difference.

In 2009, Carlsbad's Jeremy Poincenot lost vision to LHON. He has been working to raise awareness of this rare disease through media appearances and inspirational speaking; learn more at www.JeremyPoincenot.com.

The LHON Project supports LHON research, raises awareness and educates LHON families. The goal is to find a cure for this devastating disease before others carrying the Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON) genetic mutation become blind. Learn more at: LHON.org
