Why support Komen for the Cure, Marathon for the Cure?

Please join us in the fight against breast cancer.

Because most everyone is affected by breast cancer – a disease that strikes at random and for which the causes are still unknown – we know that every moment counts. Without a cure, an estimated 5 million Americans will be diagnosed with the disease, and an estimated 10 million women worldwide could die, over the next 25 years.

By joining the largest grassroots breast cancer organization in the world, we are helping to build a future without breast cancer, and raising money through Marathon for the Cure will help bring us closer to that goal.

What is Susan G. Komen for the Cure?

What started as a promise between two sisters 26 years ago is today the world's largest non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. A grassroots network of more than 100,000+ survivors and activists, Susan G. Komen for the Cure serves the needs of millions in across the globe. Since its inception in 1982, Komen has invested more than $1 billion in breast cancer research, and community outreach thanks to programs like Marathon for the Cure, and the generous support of corporate partners and individual donors. Our pledge is to invest another $2 billion over the next 10 years and we need your help!
