Dollar's for Debbie - Racing to Find the Cure for ALL!
Debbie and husband Bob, August 2007 - Prairie Village Art Fair
This past year, Debbie Douglas Gutierrez, my sister and best friend, and Penny Shoop Brown Blake, a life-long friend, lost their battles with breast cancer. At 55 and 50 years young, both were taken before their time. Debbie and Penny were previous breast cancer survivors and both fought valiantly to the end.

Please join me in raising money to eradicate this disease in our lifetime. If you can't join me at the race, please consider making a donation on this page to the Penny's Pink Pal's team.

Debbie kept an online journal on the CaringBridge website. It was her hope that her experiences might help inform others going through cancer treatments. Her journal is a tribute to how hard she fought this illness.

You can view all the KC area teams fundraising progress at the Komen Foundation KC Race for the Cure page totals.

Each person making a donation on my page will be entered for a chance to win the beautiful quilt being raffled the day of the race.

Our team now has its own website with event information and online r-shirt sales. Visit PENNYSPALS.ORG to learn about our team members and how you can participate with us.

We have now reached 100% of our original team goal of $5000 with $9558 . We have raised our goal to $10,000. Check ourTeam Home Page for current updates.

Thanks for all of your support!
