| HELPING HEAL BODIES, HEARTS AND SOULS ... Fire and burn injuries are the second-leading cause of accidental death in children ages one to four, and the third-leading cause of injury and death for those ages one to eighteen. More than 500,000 people suffer burn injuries every year.
The International Association of Fire Fighters’ Burn Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity, takes a full spectrum approach from preventing burn injuries to improving the quality of life for survivors through: developing burn awareness and fire prevention safety materials and programs; advancing treatments through its research grant program; hosting the IAFF Burn Foundation’s International Burn Camp; supporting the Phoenix Society’s Annual World Burn Congress; and partnering with other International/National organizations to take a collaborative approach to many initiatives. In addition, the IAFF Burn Foundation works to protect first responders from burn injury or death.
IAFF Burn Foundation programs are funded through the generous donations received from IAFF affiliates, concerned citizens, foundations, organizations and corporate partners. Please help provide life-saving services for the community and life-changing treatments and experiences for burn survivors through your tax-deductible donation. |
