| HEALING BODIES, HEARTS AND SOULS ... Fire and burn injuries are the second-leading cause of accidental death in children ages one to four, and the third-leading cause of injury and death for those ages one to eighteen. More than 500,000 people suffer burn injuries every year.
The International Association of Fire Fighters Burn Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, takes a comprehensive approach to burn injuries and improving the quality of life for survivors through: developing burn prevention and fire safety materials; advancing treatments through its research grant program; hosting youth burn camps and adult survivor conferences; and partnering with burn care providers on school re-entry programs for educators and hospital-based peer support programs. In addition, the IAFF Burn Foundation works to protect first responders from burn injury or death.
IAFF Burn Foundation programs are funded through the generous donations received from concerned citizens, organizations and businesses. Please help provide life-saving and life-changing treatments, experiences and services to burn survivors through your tax-deductible donation. |
