For the homeless and working poor in our community, hope begins at Homeless Solutions. A private, non-profit organization in Morristown, we have been helping people in need for almost 30 years. In 2011, we provided outreach services, emergency shelter, and transitional housing to 530 people. Our case managers offer the support needed to help our guests rebuild their lives and successfully move to independent living. We also develop permanent supportive housing that is energy efficient for low income families and individuals. We provided affordable housing to another 117 people in 2011.
Our motto is “A hand up, not a hand out.” HSI helps people by giving them the tools they need – a safe, stable environment, and linkages to job search assistance, counseling, medical care, childcare and transportation – to rebuild their lives. |
