| If you have ever neglected your freedom like I have for the most part of my life, you're not alone. My Grandfather, Warren Goldstock, my father-in-law, Steve Palsa, both willingly served our country and has provided me and my family the foundation of what FREEDOM is all about.
Today, the mission of Hope for the Warriors, is a promise that the sacrifices of the wounded military services branches and throughout the nation will not be forgotten, nor their needs unmet. Many projects and programs have been implemented to fulfill this promise.
I have chosen to raise money and awareness for Hope for the Warriors by completing my first Iron Man Distance Triathlon, The Great Illini Challenge Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Lake Mattoon Beach in Neoga, IL.
The freedom that we enjoy today is due to our past and present veterans. We are so lucky to live in this country that we can freely travel without many of the fears others around the world must live with day to day.
