| We are writing to you about a very special event with an equally special purpose. On October 8, 2011 Southeastern Greyhound Adoption will host its fourth annual 5K run/1 mile walk fundraiser, “Athletes Helping Athletes," to support our efforts of finding forever homes for all former racers. Our hopes are that each year this event will help us raise much needed funds to transport, vet, house, and find forever homes for all former racing Greyhounds.
Southeastern Greyhound Adoption (SEGA) is the adoption program of the Southeastern Greyhound Club, Inc., which is a 501(c)(3) organization and nonprofit corporation. SEGA has been in existence since 1998 and has adopted out over 1,600 greyhounds. SEGA has no paid staff and relies entirely on volunteers to solicit donations and raise funds.
SEGA is asking for your support in this most important endeavor. By donating an item or service from your business, you can make a difference in a Greyhound’s life. All products, services, and 100% of all monetary donations will be used to support this race and Southeastern Greyhound Adoption. In addition to helping a great cause, your business will also benefit from exposure to over 500 attendees from our community. And remember, all donations are fully tax-deductible. A donation receipt is available upon request.
We invite you to visit our website at www.greyhoundadoption.org to see all the information about SEGA. Please take a minute to click on the “Athletes Helping Athletes” link for information regarding our 5K race. You may submit your product or service for inclusion in this year’s race by e-mailing 5K@greyhoundadoption.org, or you can complete the entry form and mail it to us. All monetary donations can be mailed to the address provided and please make any checks payable to SEGA.
Thanks very much in advance for supporting our cause!
