GERTI Walk 2010 Fundraising

GERTI is transforming nursing homes and enhancing lives through education. Our mission is to restore dignity and choice while focusing on a meaningful life.

Join us for a fun filled event complete with a DJ, music, games, food and contests that the whole family can enjoy! The GERTI Walk is a fun 3K (1.86 miles) walk/run around Evergreen Community. Our focus is raising funds for the GERTI education program, a division of Evergreen Living Innovations, Inc. At GERTI we believe that education is the key to transforming long-term care and the lives of residents. We offer educational programs that emphasize culture change and person-directed care. Through these programs we encourage employees to take pride in their work and improve the quality of life for residents. Proceeds from the GERTI Pumpkin Walk will fund education for long-term care employees. GERTI education focuses on the philosophy of person-directed care. This philosophy is growing across the country and GERTI continues to be a leader in providing Person Directed Care education in Kansas, Missouri, and across the country. Person Directed Care enhances the lives of both residents and employees. It gives respect, dignity, privacy, and choices back to the residents and helps employees grow as individuals.
