| The Donut Dash raises funds to benefit the Child Life Program at Sutter Children's Center, Sacramento.
The Child Life Program strives to empower children and families to cope, understand, and heal as they encounter illness and hospitalization. Opportunities are offered to create meaningful experiences through play, education, preparation, and emotional support.
Funds raised are used for programs and activities such as art projects, toys, games, movies, books, video games, and education supplies.
Funds raised in 2012 will be donated to the Child Life Program in memory of Dr. David Smith, a Pediatric Intensivist & PICU Director, for the PICU naming at the new hospital opening in 2013. |
