PLEASE NOTE THAT TOMMY'S SKYDIVE HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER.
Are you up for the challenge?
When 61 year-old resident of Ringwood, NJ, learned that his 14-year-old grandson was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome, he decided to help find a cure by fundraising in this unconventional way. In 2007, Tom Mills took on the challenge to “tandem-jump” out of a plane to raise awareness and the much needed funds for research into FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome.
On Sunday, September 14th, 2008 (NEW DATE), Tom will do it again with the hope that others will join his efforts. Adventurers from across the nation are invited to Dive to Save Kidneys. Join Tom, his wife and The NephCure Foundation at 11 am at Sussex County Airport, NJ. This fun day will also include a raffle. The following great prizes were already secured:
- An autographed poster of John Cotchery from the NY Jets courtesy of the NY Jets;
- 4 Tickets to the 2008 Christmas Extravaganza at Radio City Music Hall, courtesy of James Dolan and Madison Square Garden;
- 2 Tickets to a NJ Devils game, courtesy of the NJ Devils.
Contact Miriam Long at mlong@nephcure.org or call 1 (866) NephCure ext. 10 to learn more.
