| We need your help! The Board of Health recently notified us that the Community Soup Kitchen is now required to comply with all of the regulations applied to local retail food establishments.
For 26 years, we have relied on the generosity of our member congregations to supply the food items for our noon-time meal. However, we are no longer able to accept donations of perishable food unless it comes directly from a restauarant or caterer. What this means is that the Soup Kitchen must purchase the main course for the noon-time meal and prepare it on-site -- a dramatic change to our business model that will cost the Soup Kitchen an additional $150,000 annually.
Please support your congregation's volunteer day by making a donation so that the Soup Kitchen can purchase the food to be used on your day. Thank you so much for your support -- every donation counts and will help to keep the doors open 365 days a year! Please scroll down to select your group below.
