| Help Us Bless an Orphan this Christmas |

| The Powell family is working to host an orphan from Eastern Europe like Sasha (pictured here) for about four weeks over the Christmas season. As a host family, our goal is to share Christ with this child, allow him to experience what’s it’s like to be part of an intact family, and to give him the love, support, and individual attention that he cannot receive in his orphanage. During his time in the U.S. he will also learn some English and will receive medical and dental checkups. He will be well fed, hugged, kissed, and (for lack of a better word) spoiled for the first time in his life. He will have constant access to positive role models. He will learn that he has value as a person – no matter his official family status. After he leaves our house, he will know that Christ, as well as others, love him and that, as a child of God, he is worthy of that love.
After learning of this organization, we have become quite passionate about its mission. We greatly wish to become a host family, but we need your help. The total cost to host a child is $2,500. We appreciate any and all support and prayers.
