Cops United For Fighting Cancer is a fund"razor" for families affected by cancer. Local law enforcement officials and community members raise funds and in turn have their heads shaved as a physical demonstration of support of those individuals and families living with a cancer diagnosis.
Create a team to raise money to shave your own head, create a team to raise money (we won't make you shave your head) or donate to a fellow friend's team. Click on a "fund-raiser's" individual website or become a "fund-raiser" yourself by using the above link bar. And pass the word on to your family, friends and co-workers by sending a link to this website.
Event day activities includes free lunch, children’s games and crafts, face painting, jumping castles, Dunk-A-Cop, and a Police Vehicle and Helicopter display by Salt Lake County. We will also be joined by Darth Vader and other Star Wars characters.
Monies raised benefit the family programs at Cancer Wellness House, a non-residential social and emotional support community for children, teens, men and women. Presented by the Salt Lake County Deputy Sheriff Federation and Albertsons Women Initiative Network, this truly is a community event.
The Cancer Wellness House provides free programs for anyone touched by cancer providing social support groups, physical well-being workshops and social events. Voted “Cancer Facility of the Year” in 2005 by the Utah Department of Health, the Cancer Wellness House guides thousands of children, teens, and adults through the cancer journey by caring and compassionate volunteers and facilitators at the House.
100% of the proceeds from the C.U.F.F. Cancer event will be used to offer free programs to families touched by cancer. All donations are tax deductible. |
