09 CT Jamboree
What: 2 Days. 74 miles. 9,640 feet of elevation gain. Mountain bike through the San Juan Mountains on along the scenic Colorado Trail from Molas Pass to Durango.

Why: This demanding ride will benefit the Edwards, Colorado based Heuga Center for Multiple Sclerosis. The Huega Center is a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping people and families living with MS gain the health and understanding needed to live full, productive lives with this incurable disease. Additionally, 5% of proceeds will support the Colorado Trail Foundation and Trails 2000 to continue our support of this precious outdoor recreational resource- The Colorado Trail.

When: July 25-26, 2009

Where: The ride begins 45 miles north of Durango at Molas Pass in the center of the San Juan Mountains. Riders head south for roughly 36 miles on the Colorado Trail toward an area known as Hotel Draw where support vehicles will meet riders with camping gear, food and refreshments for a night of celebrating and recovery. The following day the ride continues south for about 39 miles into the La Plata Mountains and the final rigorous stretch of the Colorado Trial. A post-ride party for all riders will be held in Durango on Sunday at 7:00pm to celebrate the experience of riding perhaps the finest stretch of alpine single track on the planet!
