In 2005 my husband Joe was diagnosed with stage IV male breast caner. Sadly, Joe lost his courageous battle with cancer on September 13, 2008. During the fight with this horrible disease we chose to help raise money for research to create a vaccine for breast cancer. In memory of Joe I am continuing to raise funds to assist in this potentially life saving research.
"Imagine if you could teach your own body to identify and destroy breast cancer cells! A breast cancer vaccine has few side effects and could have a permanent
treatment effect. Our vision is a world without breast cancer." --Dr. Leisha Emens
Climb for Hope has raised over $550,000 for Dr. Leisha Emen’s research at Johns Hopkins University.
