James Graham Brown Cancer Center
2014 Racing for Answers to Cancer
The James Graham Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville is a national leader in development of cancer therapies. With our focus on Research, Treatment and Education/Prevention, our patients benefit from the latest medical advances. It is the only cancer center in the region to use a unified approach to cancer care, with multidisciplinary teams of physicians working together to guide patients through diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Kentucky leads the nation in cancer deaths. For over 30 years, the JGBCC has become known for providing the best clinical care to cancer patients in the region, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. We care for over 3,400 people a year and rely heavily on philanthropy to advance our education, clinical care and research mission. Our 300,000 sq. ft. clinical and translational research building is specifically geared toward moving potential treatments and cures from the lab to the patient as swiftly as possible, and our M. Krista Loyd Resource Center is open to ANYONE suffering from cancer and their caregivers, regardless of where they receive treatment. We are the only certified breast cancer treatment facility in the State of Kentucky.

Proceeds from the KDF Mini/Marathon will help the Brown Cancer Center continue its mission of finding answers to cancer.
