It's time to start preparing for our Annual Bowl-A-Thon! This event will take place on October 31, 2009. We are planning an afternoon of Halloween fun - - - costumes, prizes, and lots of gutter balls!
The money we raise from this event will help sustain our growing programs and services in the months ahead.
Our 24-hour 2-1-1/HELP-Line is answering a record number of calls from people in need. Some are in crisis; others simply need to locate essential community resources.
Our suicide and violence prevention and postvention programs continue to serve individuals, area schools and community groups. We offer group education as well as a support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide.
We help people resolve disputes with the help of an impartial mediator. By talking about a problem in a safe and neutral setting, most issues are resolved quickly, inexpensively and to the satisfaction of everyone involved. It's a win-win method that works!
Your support in our Bowl-A-Thon will mean a lot to those we serve . . . 24 hours a day. Thank you.
How to Get Involved
First, you can participate in two ways. 1. If you can't attend the event but want to raise funds for Gryphon Place, take part as a "phantom" bowler. Raise money on-line, by creating your own webpage....see link on the right! 2. If you can join the fun on October 31, please participate as a "bowler" (no skills required!). Please call Mozella at 381-1510 to register ASAP so we can reserve space for you and any team members!! She will give you all the info you need....
Second, begin to raise funds now! Do so by creating your INDIVIDUAL or TEAM webpage (click the appropriate link to the right of this page). There will be prizes awarded to top fund raisers.
