| Friends:
Thanks for taking the time to check out my fundraising page for the 2010 Chicago Marathon!
My last marathon was way back in 1998. However, I had an epiphany during a long May bike ride to Lake Geneva, WI that I probably have one more competitive long run in this aging body. My training is going really well so far but there is one area where I need to ask for your help: to raise funds for a noble cause, "Girls On The Run Chicago".
Check out their mission statement below. As a dad who started & coached the track and cross country program at our children's elementary/middle school, I feel this is a very important cause to support. I saw firsthand how running with a group gives young women a stronger sense of identity, a greater acceptance of themselves, a healthier body image and an understanding of what it means to be part of a team. I hope you agree and click on the button to support their program and my marathon.
Thank you!
