6-8 weeks processing for a rebate
In our instant-gratification society, the timeframe above seems like an eternity..
But when you find out that your father, at 57 years old, has only 6-8 weeks left of his life to live in this world, you can
only pray for this eternity you feel from the two examples above. I can say that I had uncontrollably prayed for this
eternity and those prayers were prematurely answered by a higher calling from above. My Father, my mother's husband, my
daughter's grandfather's body was consumed by pancreatic cancer less than two years ago. I say it was his body, because in
the short timeframe he made his transformation from this world to the next, his spirit was there with him the entire way.
Fighting to the end, like he always did. My dad, my role model, the example that I hope that I can be just a small part of
and I'll know that I have achieved a fulfilled life, left this world with his family and friends wondering why?
While his time in this world was short, he filled his life with volumes of adventures and learning experiences which shaped
every day of his life and mine as well. 'Team LT' was created to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer research so that other
children, grandchildren, wives, family and friends will never be faced with a dinner and then turn to that special chair at the
table and their cherished love one is not there with them in body, just in spirit. |
