Saving children's lives
Founded in 1947, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF supports the work of the United Nations Children's Fund by raising funds for its programs and increasing awareness of the challenges facing the world's children. The oldest of 37 national committees for UNICEF worldwide, we are part of a global effort to save, protect and improve children's lives.
Who we are and how we do it
The U.S. Fund for UNICEF is not just the leadership and staff in our national and Chapter offices, but a nationwide movement of celebrities and volunteers, corporate partners and non-governmental organizations, and generous donors across the country working together to save kids' lives.
Together we raise funds for UNICEF's lifesaving programs through contributions, sales of UNICEF greeting cards and gifts, and special campaigns such as Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. We keep the public informed about children's issues in developing nations and urge Congress to back legislation that puts kids first. We visit schools and campuses to talk about UNICEF and create educational materials for teachers. |
