With the generous financial support of our donors, Friends of Virgin Islands National Park has played a significant role in helping protect and preserve VI National Park for the past 25 years. The Beach-to-Beach Power Swim is our signature annual event. Swimmers gather from all over the islands, USA and as far away as Europe to swim along the North Shore of St. John, USVI, through the majestic waters of the National Park. Swimmers may choose from three distances: 1 mile, 2.25 miles or 3.5 miles and can opt to swim assisted (with mask/snorkel/fins) or unassisted (goggles only). Funds raised by the annual event support the Learn-to-Swim Program on St. John and other education and conservation programs in the park. The National Park is part of what makes St. John so unique, and every dollar makes a difference in our efforts to preserve it, protect it, and educate the next generation of its stewards.
