The Fisher House™ Program
The Fisher House™ program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need. The program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.
Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House™ Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury. Download the Fisher House Fact Sheet and Map of Locations to learn more.
Fisher House™ Foundation, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. Donations are tax-deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law. The Foundation has received the highest possible ratings from the “watch dog” organizations that evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of nonprofit organizations: for every dollar donated to Fisher House™ Foundation, 96 percent goes directly into Fisher House programs that help military families.
Online donations are completely safe and the most efficient way of donating (saving time and money), but checks are accepted. Please download and print the 2012 TFH Check Donation Form and mail the check and completed form to the address on the form.
Fisher House Foundation makes online campaigns available to fundraisers with the following conditions: campaigns must be family-friendly, apolitical and supportive of our military and veterans families. If you believe that this campaign is in violation of these policies, please report it to the Team Fisher House Program Director by Clicking Here
"Re photo of Piers and Ollie: WHICH ONE IS WHICH?????
You are the images of one other.
Ollie, I have been talking to different people about your coming travels through Mexico. Consensus is that Baja is safer, but that just might inspire you to stick with the Mainland. I hope not! Please come to St Malo when you cross the border into California. Definitely stick to the Coast through Tijuana! St Malo is about 30 or so miles north of the border, and plan to stay a while. Icuidado. Cuidado
I'll be cheering you on.
Nevill McInerny (that person you met when you were probably 2 weeks old)
Good luck. "
"Thanks to Ed Foy for the recommendation. Good luck!"
"Such an amazing experience for such a worthy cause!
Best wishes from Rachel, the American you star gazed with while waiting for your Mum at BVSC in Nicaragua. Keep on Riding!!"
"Good luck, wonderful cause"
I was so inspired by your story. I will keep you in my prayers that you have a safe and successful journey!
"You inspire me Ollie"
"Ollie....here's to your magnificent journey, and to your noble efforts to help a very worthy cause. Cheers!"
"It was a pleasure to meet you. You camped beside us in Whitehorse, Yukon at High Country Park. Good luck on your journey and congratulations on such a noble cause. God speed!
"You have managed a daring adventure, Ollie. We met you at the Matanuska Transportation Museum today and you a positive impression on us..."
THANK YOU for being an inspiration to my son as he works on his own project for the [U.S.] military! He has about $8,000 of $20,000 left to raise for his Boy Scout Eagle Project. Bryan especially enjoyed your posts on Facebook. It helped rev the motivation.

"You are a remarkable young man. Your parents, although teary-eyed when you left, must be extremely proud of you. As a mom of a US Marine, I know what it means to be proud of your son. When my son was injured, I had a life-changing experience staying at the Fisher House in Landstuhl. Later, my son served as a US Marine with the British Royal Marines. So I have the deepest respect for the BRM, the Fisher House Foundation, and now YOU! My heart is blessed knowing Fisher House is in the UK and I'm thrilled to learn of your efforts. Thank you for having the dedication and courage to support and bring awareness to the Fisher House. And thank you for your inspiring commitment to serve the families needing the love and care that Fisher Houses provide. You're a star!"
