| In 2009 a group of committed volunteers with a passion and a dream to change the lives of those living with Multiple Sclerosis, set out to create an event that would change not only their lives but the lives of all who participated. In this dream the Heartland Border Walk for MS was created and the inaugural event was held in May of 2009. Walkers, volunteers and corporate sponsors a like raised over $60,000 for MS Research and Patient Assistance. The 3 Day, 50 Mile event set a precedent for what a small group of people can do to make a difference in the lives of those we love and those we don’t even know.
In 2010, we again ask for your help in making the 2nd Annual Heartland Border Walk a success. The 50 mile journey is not a race…you walk at your own pace, make new friends and enjoy the communities that we walk through. Challenge yourself. Be fearless. Step outside your comfort zone and Make a difference!
