It is a privilege and an honor to be one of the 2010 Donate Life Rose Parade Float riders.
I am grateful to my sponsor, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where over 14 years ago I received my life saving transplant. Having never met my donor family, I am forever thankful for their brave decision to give me a second chance at life and because of their generosity I have dedicated my life's endeavors to helping donor families and transplant recipients.
Using my once in a life opportunity to ride the Donate Life Float, my fundraising efforts is so that organ, eye & tissue donation awareness events and educational forums can continue. Every morning when I awake, I remember that there are over 105,000 Americans on the national transplant wait-list, 18 - 19 of whom die every day without receiving their life-saving transplant. ><
