| "We are very excited to announce the 2nd Annual Denver 5K NF Walk which will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Clement Park, located at 7306 W. Bowles Ave., Littleton, CO 80123 (just two blocks east of Wadsworth Blvd. and Southwest Plaza Mall).
Bring your family and friends and join us for a walk around the lake and a day of fun. After the Walk we will have light refreshments and a raffle. Dogs are allowed in the park, but they must be kept on a leash. Strollers are welcome. Thank you for your support. See you there!"
WANT TO WALK IN THE 2010 DENVER NF WALK?
There are several ways to participate in the walk. All registrations are FREE.
1.Register as an INDIVIDUAL WALKER. This option will be appropriate for most of you. You can register yourself and/or your family members who will be joining you on a single page. You can also create an individual fundraising page that allows you to send a fundraising link to other family and friends, letting them know about the walk, and inviting their own registration and/or contributions.
2.Register as a TEAM CAPTAIN. This option is appropriate if you want to invite friends to create their own fundraising pages, and distribute their fundraising pages to their friends. All fundraising pages created in this manner will be linked to the same Team, and fundraising totals for that Team will appear on the Walk’s web page.
3.Register as a member of an EXISTING TEAM. You will be asked to provide the Team name when you register.

While registration for the 2010 Denver NF Walk is FREE, all walkers are encouraged to raise money through donations. Registered walkers who raise over $100 will receive a free t-shirt at the Walk.

If you would like your donation to be anonymous or have the amount hidden, be sure to make that selection on the payment page before you enter your payment information.
How you can double your donation? Many employers throughout the United States have programs to match the charitable contributions of their employees. These programs can double and sometimes even triple your donation. Check with your human resources or benefits office to find out if your employer will match your generosity. These gifts are extremely beneficial in supporting the work of the Foundation and are simple and convenient. As always, the Foundation is appreciative of your support.

Did you know? NF causes tumors to grow on nerves anywhere in the body, including the brain and spinal cord. It can lead to blindness, deafness, chronic pain, disfigurement, learning disabilities, bone defects, cardiovascular problems, cancer and a wide range of other complications. It affects people of all races and ethnic origins, and half of all cases arise in families with no history of the disorder. Anyone's next child could be born with NF.
NF Walk is a national program that raises both awareness and critical funds to support the hundreds of thousands of adults, children and families who battle neurofibromatosis (NF) every day. Funds raised through the NF Walk program support the Children's Tumor Foundation, a nonprofit organization that funds world-class research into NF therapies to treat and eventually cure NF.
