Twice a year, we send an interview mission team to travel through the countries of Latvia, Ukraine and in Russia--the city of St Petersburg to interview hundreds of orphans. We strive to identify children who have the ability to integrate into a family situation.

Through this process, ultimately God leads us to about 200 children to try and match with US host families for a 5 week hosting program. For the Christmas 2008 program, God was SO GOOD and we brought 121 children and our goal for our 13th program, Summer '09 is 125 children, if at all possible!

However, it takes about $2350 per child to cover their airline tickets, train tickets, passport, insurance, visa and passports to get them to the host families.
While here, each host family is charged with the duty to unconditionally love their child and show Christ's love through actions.

This may very well be the only time each of these children has the opportunity to see and feel what it is to live with a functional family... where mom loves dad and dad loves the children.

They also learn a lot of English while here, which enhances their future opportunities in their home land.

Many of these children are later adopted, which of course, changes all future generations of each orphan as well.
