| Aloha! I have signed up for the Winter Pineapple Classic benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This Hawaiian-themed event is designed to be fun but also competitive and challenging. On Saturday, November 3rd, I will be running 5k, but with a twist. There will be obstacles along the course and I won’t know the obstacles until I encounter them! After the race, a post-event party will be held which will include a luau (yes, a real roasted pig), beer garden, and Hawaiian entertainment! If you would like to join me at the post-event party, you can do so by paying $5 at the door.
The coolest part is that the Winter Pineapple Classic gives me the opportunity to fight blood cancers. All funds raised through the event will support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma – and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
