| Future of Flight employees and some of our friends will be participating in the 21st Annual Big Climb for Leukemia. The event is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s most challenging event - and a complete quad burner! It takes place at the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle, the state’s tallest skyscraper. We have been preparing for this event for several months to get us ready to climb the 69-flight course, which includes 1,311 steps, 19 steps per flight and 788 feet of vertical elevation.
In addition to a challenging workout, the Big Climb gives us the opportunity to fight leukemia. Leukemia, a cancer of the body’s blood-forming organs, is the leading disease killer of children; yet for every child diagnosed, ten adults face this disease. Thanks to research supported by contributions to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, survival rates in both adult and childhood leukemia have dramatically improved.
Please consider supporting us as we climb all those stairs in an effort to fight blood cancers. Thank you! |
