VIFR and the Scott Firefighter Stairclimb
Live to climb, climb to live
VIFR distinguishes itself every time we compete in this event, with more firefighters climbing than many larger departments. Our climbers have included a chief officer and a firefighter who finished in the top 10.This year we hope to demonstrate the generosity and compassion of our entire community. Please help us exceed our fundraising goal and illustrate how a small community can make a huge impact.
Thank you for your generous support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Your support brings us one step closer to our mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

About the Event
At 788 feet of vertical elevation, the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle stands as the second tallest building west of the Mississippi. It takes 69 flights of stairs and 1,311 steps to reach the highly acclaimed observation deck overlooking the city. On Sunday, March 2nd, firefighters will race up the stairs in full fire gear and SCBA to help raise funds and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This year we expect over 1,400 firefighters from 180 departments to compete in the event, once again making the Scott Firefighter Stairclimb the largest single firefighting competition in the world.
