| Trevor Fosmark's Fundraising Page for The Scott Firefighter Stairclimb |
|
|
| Hello Everyone.. My name is Trevor Fosmark and I am a firefighter for the Salem Fire Department in Salem Oregon.. It's that time again to help raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.. I need your help to achieve my goal of raising $2000 dollars for this very good cause.. This is a tax deductibe donation in the amount that you choose.. Every little bit helps.. It is great to see the look on the faces of people affected by these different types of cancer when they find out that we are raising money to help give them a better qualitiy of life and to find better treatments and a cure.. That makes this event worth it because let me tell you, it is very tough and uncomfortable.. I will be climbing 69 flights of stairs in full firefighting gear and breathing air out of a compressed air bottle strapped to my back called an SCBA.. Even though this sounds unpleasant it does not even come close to what people with these cancers even have to deal with.. Please take the time to donate here on my website and I'll do the rest of the work.. Thank you everyone who has donated in the past and I am looking forward to another great year of donations.. You have through March 08 to donate.. Please come back and check out this website on my progress and lets see if we can hit my goal!!!! Thanks to everyone.. |

| Thank you for your generous support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Your support brings us one step closer to our mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
About the Event
At 788 feet of vertical elevation, the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle stands as the second tallest building west of the Mississippi. It takes 69 flights of stairs and 1,311 steps to reach the highly acclaimed observation deck overlooking the city. On Sunday, March 2nd, firefighters will race up the stairs in full fire gear and SCBA to help raise funds and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This year we expect over 1,400 firefighters from 180 departments to compete in the event, once again making the Scott Firefighter Stairclimb the largest single firefighting competition in the world.
