Apples Art, Music & more
Race to Support the Oak Grove Kids
Thanks to a lot of support we built a gym. Our race goal this year is to add to the enhanced programming the gym and new building provides for the at-risk and special needs children and youth we serve.

Our focus is the following:
Apples Enhanced technology is being added to our Recreation Room, Autism Program and a MobileScience Lab with i-pads. Research has shown how powerful this tool is for children with communication disorders and special needs and we want to add more to our classrooms and recreation space.

Art We believe that the arts provide healing opportunities for our children. Our new building has provided space for the expansion of our Arts program including performing and visual arts as well as dance. Funding allows for the expansion of programs and classes.

Music & More We are adding individual music lessons in the area of guitar, keyboard, drums as well as some group lessons. This enhances our Performing Arts Team and Rock Band and provides music exposure to children who have never had lessons but have interest. Our “More” focus is on additional training and classes in Zumba, Yoga, Weights, Pilates, Martial Arts and “More”….all possible in our new space. Watch the video below to see our new space and the joy of our kids when the first entered our wonderful new rooms. Thank you for supporting Apples, Art Music & More as we make an even greater impact with the kids we serve! You truly can Run for a Reason.

Populations Served:
Oak Grove is a nonprofit 24-hour residential, educational, and therapeutic treatment center that serves 76 children who live on campus as well as 85-90 day students who attend our nonpublic school. Our main campus and residential center is located in Murrieta, while our second campus, Oak Grove at the Ranch, is located in Perris and serves an additional 55 students. Children are admitted to our programs with a variety of psychological, social, emotional, behavioral, medical and neurological problems along with behavioral difficulties, school problems, and alcohol or substance abuse. Many of our children have suffered physical and/ or sexual abuse, or other traumas and have experienced many other severe social, emotional or behavioral challenges. Our goal is to reunify children with their families. We believe “the work we do today builds a better tomorrow
