Learn about how sound works while making and playing instruments out of everyday objects and study how people have made instruments around the globe, engage with conceptual mathematics, classify instruments, and design an instrument. This camp engages participants with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) through the study of music. Before and After Care: Before and after care is available Monday-Friday, 8:00-9:00 AM and 3:30-5:00 PM for $20.00 per day. Students hang out and play music, sing songs, and dance together. Showcases: We show what we know. 4-5 PM on Friday of each camp week, family and friends are invited in to witness musical magic. Students put together a presentation to show off their new knowledge and musical skills. Lunch and Snacks: Students need to bring their own lunch Monday-Thursday. On the last day of camp, we will order pizza (included in tuition). The Denver World Music Studio provides healthy snacks each day. Parent Education Our âSummer Camp Prepâ events explain how summer camps at the Denver World Music Studio are different & what to expect. We'll answer questions about curriculum and explain how we integrate our 3 Cs: community, culture, and creativity. Instruments: We supply instruments as needed and teach students how to make music with everyday objects. If a student has an instrument, he/she is welcome to bring it if applicable. If a student really wants to practice at home, we can help you locate an instrument.
