What's Included

PMC Creature Pendant Instructor: Darlene Armstrong Prerequisite: PMC Beginning Class Limit: 10 Class Duration: 8 Hours In this 8 hour PMC workshop, Darlene Armstrong will walk students through the techniques needed to create a whimsical-dimensional creature pendant. This workshop is a step up from PMC Beginning and the processes are a little more complex. SPECIAL NOTE: Most of the tools you already have from PMC Beg. You will need to buy PMC + clay and bring your syringe, paste and a cubic zirconium or lab grown faceted stone. See tool list for exact details please! Students will be using Darlene’s molds for this process (she has many to choose from) to make the creature itself. If you have something you would rather use for a mold in this workshop, feel free to bring your own mold to class and use it. (We will not have time to do any molding in class though). Students will bezel a faceted stone (hi fire CZ or lab grown ), mold the creature of their choice, make the textured background, create the proper size frame and attach it to fit, and make their own bail. Correct sizing of pieces and parts, plus secure attachment of parts is a focal point in this class. Patina and polish will also be covered and practiced by students. Students will fire their pendants with a butane torch in class or if they choose they may take them home and fire them in their own kiln. Come and learn some new PMC techniques that will enable you to create your own style at home after this workshop! 8/1/2016 DA tr
