Sat & Sun, April 1 & 2, 9:30-5:30 & Mon, April 3, 9:30-1:30 Nan Blair’s Cuff Instructor: Nancy Blair Prerequisites: DSMA Metals I & II and Fusing Sterling Silver Class Limit: 10 Class Duration: 16 Hours In this student requested 2 day workshop, students will experience an exciting class of exploration! Nancy Blair will show the step by step process to designing and building this amazingly gorgeous cuff bracelet. Cuffs will utilize various fused sterling elements, bits of silver, previously roll printed metal, wires and bezeled cabochons. **If students have previously taken the Stone on Stone workshop with Nancy, they could use a stone on stone approach in the stone part of their bracelet design. The separate elements on the top of the cuff will be attached together with solder and rivets, as well as attaching this piece to the cuff itself. IMPORTANT: This is an advanced jewelry design to build and a complicated piece to produce. Students need to be self sufficient with making bezels successfully-without help-and be totally comfortable with the fusing sterling process to facilitate being able to complete this project in 2 days. Nancy will NOT be teaching bezel making or how to fuse in this workshop.
