What's Included

Saturday-Sunday prereq: Metalsmithing I Students will learn simple techniques for casting Sterling silver, bronze, and gold or red alloys with the use of cuttlebone to create texture and design. Students will explore methods for creating different gauges of metal for fabricating a unique piece of jewelry. Each student will create a simple pendant and other castings to use in future jewelry designs.

The Denver School of Metal Arts is a dynamic jewelry making school that specializes in year round classes, workshops and summer intensive courses for jewelers and metalsmiths. Our classes are taught by experienced jewelry artists and teachers, who provide a stimulating environment in which our students are able to explore their design potential and hone their technical skills.
