At Circle Pines Center, you will learn about peace, social justice, environmental stewardship and cooperation. We are a non-religious, nonprofit camp and year-round retreat center, open and welcoming to all, without discrimination. Our food is all home-made of the finest locally grown and organic ingredients. Camp sessions are one or two weeks. Our camp program combines elements of a traditional summer camp (swimming, sports, campfires, theater, dance, arts & crafts) with cooperative work projects (organic gardening, cleaning, construction, trail maintenance). We also mix in educational activities that focus on topics like climate change, food politics, social justice, ecosystems and world peace. The campers can learn much, but there is plenty of fun too. Campers are allowed to be themselves and many feel more "at home" here than anywhere else. Many life-long friendships are developed while at Circle Pines. For 75 years, Circle Pines Center has been a safe, inclusive, engaging space where diversity and growth are fostered. Open year-round, we also offer many various intergenerational, weekend programs for adults and families and are open to rental groups. In June we hold a weekend music festival, the Buttermilk Jamboree, which features an eclectic mix of music (folk, rock, blues, jazz, world and more) as well as a variety of workshops for adults and activities for kids.
