About This Activity

THE RACE

The Darien Road Race includes a 10K and 1.5 mile "Loop" that attracts over 500 runners and hundreds of families and community organizations. The race is run along scenic waterfront roads and tree lined neighborhoods. This fun event also includes the "Finish Line" under the big tent, with kids games, booths, food, entertainment, pre- and post race ceremonies. Now in it's 34th year, the race is a fundraising event for local community social services and cancer support organizations. The 2013 race benefits The Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital, Whittingham Cancer Center at Norwalk Hospital and The Community Fund of Darien.
