The North Carolina Stroke Association’s seventh Annual "Cycle for Life...2010" bike tour is scheduled for Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Hanover Park Vineyard.
The tour has four venues from which to choose:
25 Miles
40 Miles
65 (Metric Century) Miles
100 (Century) Miles
Depending on the route, the tour canvases four counties: Yadkin, Davie, Iredell and Wilkes.
North Carolina Stroke Association Partnership Grant Program
The North Carolina Stroke Association has created the North Carolina Stroke Association Partnership Grant Program. Hospitals and
throughout North Carolina may apply for funding to bring the North Carolina Stroke Association's stroke prevention, education, and post-stroke programs to their communities.
100% of proceeds go directly to the North Carolina Stroke Association to support program development in stroke prevention, stroke education and post-stroke services in the state of North Carolina.
Registration for Cyclists:
Register by September 23, 2010 by completing this Registration Form and pay a non-refundable registraion fee of $35.
Pre-Registered Cyclists will receive a Cycle for Life t-shirt, breakfast & lunch, and will be eligible for wine-tasting.
After September 23, 2010, registration is $50.00 - Registrants will receive breakfast & lunch and will be eligible for wine-tasting.
Registration for Walkers & Non-Cyclists Participants:
Register by September 23, 2010 by completing this Registration Form and pay a non-refundable registration fee of $25. A separate Registration Form is needed for each stroke survivor and caregiver.
Pre-Registered Walkers will receive a Cycle for Life t-shirt, breakfast & lunch, and will be eligible for wine-tasting.
After September 23, 2010, registration is $30.00 - Walker Registrants will receive breakfast & lunch and will be eligible for wine-tasting.
Registration for Teams:
Teams are comprised of three or more cyclists, including the Team Captain. Teams are required to register by
September 23, 2010. Fee: $30.00 for each team member. Pre-Registered Teams will receive a Cycle for Life t-shirt, lunch, and will be eligible for wine-tasting.
Register by September 23, 2010 by completing this Registration Form and pay a non-refundable registration fee of $30.00 for each team member.
Tour Routes
100 (Century) Mile
Begins at 9:00am
A challenging route with many hills through four counties. There is a double climb over the Brushy Mountain range. Five rest stops will be provided.
65 (Metric Century) Mile
Begins at 9:00am
A challenging route with many hills through four counties. Four rest stops will be provided.
40 Mile
Begins at 9:15am
Intermediate distance ride through three counties. Two rest stops will be provided.
25 Mile
Begins at 9:30am
A gentle ride through the countryside of two counties. One rest stop will be provided.
1 mile walk for stroke survivors
Begins at 10:30am
A walk around the vineyard.
The bicycle route will have SAG support until 3:30 p.m. Mechanic support will be available at the Start.
The Tour
Breakfast & Lunch will be served and all registrants will be eligible for wine tasting. A fee of $25 is required for those individuals who are not cycling or walking but who will be having breakfast, lunch and participating in the wine tasting.

Yadkin County - Take Hwy 421 to Hwy 601.
Go south 4 miles. At 2nd blinking light, turn left on Courtney-Huntsville Road.
Vineyard is 1 mile on the left.
From I-40, take exit 170 for Hwy 601.
Go North 9.8 miles and turn right onto 1927 Courtney-Huntsville Rd.
Vineyard is one mile on left.
