Additional Information

THE TOUR SPONSORS This year is the nineteenth annual Steeple Chase Bike Tour. The Steeple Chase is a fundraiser for two area non-profit social service agencies, WAIM and Perception Programs, that help people when they need it most. The Windham Area Interfaith Ministry, is comprised of 39 faith communities, provides fuel assistance, clothing, and furniture to area needy families. Perception Programs, Inc. offers treatment, case management, education and housing to people with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, adults involved in the criminal justice system, and people living with AIDS. Providing quality services is the trademark of both agencies. WE NEED YOUR HELP to raise money to meet the increased needs of the clients we service. Please ride with us and raise money for your neighbors, friends and family. THE ROUTES 100 Mile: "I ride the century every year and my favorite part is the last 20 miles are all downhill! The beautiful countryside, excellent rest stops and massage therapists make it the best ride I do all year."--2009 rider. 62.5 Mile: “Great addition! The food and rest stops are wonderful, I’ll be back next year.”--2009 rider. 50 Mile: “This is the first year I biked the 50 and I loved it! Not as hard as I thought. The massage therapists were excellent!” --2009 rider. (A mini-version of the 100-miler, not as hilly.) 35 Mile: “What a pretty ride. I’m going to get my children to ride with me next year. They have to see the The Holy Cow Shelter” --2009 rider. 20 Mile : “This is a yearly event for my family. We bring new friends with us each year and they always have a great time. Each year we take a picture of us at the Holy Cow Shelter at work.”-- 2009 rider. The extended version of this ride (28 miles) was listed in 1995's Best Short Bike Rides in New England.
