Kick off the series with one of the most popular DINO courses. The fun circuit of about 10 miles is also home to the 24 Hours of DINO (Sept 6-7, 2007). This race is part of the 4 th annual Northern Indiana Fat & Skinny Tire Festival, which includes road bike events, kids events, demos, entertainment, seminars, and much more. Involvement from the community is second to none at Winona Lake , and there are plenty of non-cycling activities for families and friends to see and do. >> TRAIL MAP <<
Camping: Onsite primitive camping is available. No reservations needed, small donation requested.
Directions: Winona Lake is about an hour west of Fort Wayne . Take US 30 to the East side of Warsaw . Turn South / West on Center St. (Bob Evans at this intersection). Proceed for 2 more lights on Center and turn left on to Argonne Rd. Go to the stoplight, under the viaduct and straight through the intersection. The road becomes Park Ave. Follow Park Ave into the village of Winona Lakes. View Map
Parking may be ¼ to ½ mile from the race site - come prepared to ride your bike to the race. Park at one of the public lots in the village, or continue to City Park on the right. To get to the race site, continue on Park Ave. over a bridge, to the next road on the left ( Boys City Dr .) Follow Boys City Drive to the main entrance of the (former) Boys Club.
